An unbeatable location

Club Nàutic Vilanova: the best marina on the coast of Barcelona for your family and your boat.

Vilanova i la Geltrú is 45 km from Barcelona and 30 minutes from its international airport. A town with 67,000 inhabitants that has the third most important port in Catalonia as part of its maritime façade. Within this port we can find the Club Nàutic Vilanova, an unbeatable base for nautical activities in the western Mediterranean. An ideal marina where you can take part in its activities all year round, and berth your boat during the winter months to service it.

Vilanova is 100 nautical miles from Mallorca and 142 from Valencia. So, it is an excellent stopover for those who sail from the Gulf of Lion, because it is 210 nautical miles from Marseille or 178 from the port of Sète. The Club Nàutic Vilanova provides the best services and moorings of up to 15 meters, at very competitive prices. And it will only take you 20 minutes on foot to reach the centre of Vilanova, a quiet town with a great cultural, commercial and gastronomic offer, very well connected, by train and by road, to the Penedès area and, especially, to Barcelona.

A friendly town where land, sea and gastronomy merge.

Vilanova i la Geltrú is a town with quiet people where you can move around easily. To start with, just after leaving the harbour on foot, there is a wide range of gastronomic, commercial and nautical services. In this way the port of Vilanova is singular.

Besides, walking the town streets you will discover what one day was the so-called Havana Xica: the popular name that the town received during the times of transatlantic commerce.

Although it was inaugurated in 1957 the Club Nàutic Vilanova dates back to 1920. Its first location was on the eastern wharf of the port but in 1983 it moved to its current whereabouts. Nowadays, it has almost 700 members and more than 800 moorings. One of the greatest values of its marina is that it is integrated in the perfect town if you are looking for tranquillity, proximity, rest and good gastronomy.

Vilanova boasts about a colonial legacy that shows itself in the architecture and the character of the town. Vilanova is the port of the Penedès, historically a land of wine, that nowadays has the best offer of food and beverage in the country. The famous Vilanova prawn stands out as the flagship of an excellent sea cuisine, which here has the particular identity of the seafaring tradition.

With the same calm as if you were sailing you can discover Vilanova i la Geltrú. It is not a bustling but a quiet town that treats visitors as people and not as tourist units, because Vilanova is not a tourist destination: it is a good destination with visitors. What can we say about its commerce and about the large number of shops you can find in its beautiful pedestrian area full of terraces? With its museums Vilanova also offers a wide range of cultural, and, especially, festive proposals, with its genuine carnival at the top of a vast agenda.
